These dates apply to Kansas residents applying to the program. The timeline for international participants is set by the U.S. Embassy in each participating home location.

  • December 1, 2023 - Application deadline
  • Late December, 2023 - Semi-finalists selected and notified
  • Early January, 2024 - Interviews (Phone, Skype, or In Person)
  • Mid-January, 2024 - Notify selected participants and alternates
  • February 1, 2024 - Deadline for Letter of Commitment
  • Spring 2024 - Orientation and Preparation
  • June 21 - July 26, 2024 - KWLI Program and Educational Travel
