The Kansas Women’s Leadership Institute provides a transformative experience that develops leadership competencies, cultivates a spirit of collaboration, and elevates the power of women’s voices.
Program Overview
Student take aways…
Through their participation in this program, KWLI participants will:
- Connect with women in the Lawrence community and across the state through our WE CONNECT mentoring program
- Contribute through experiential learning and volunteer opportunities
- Foster creativity through innovative programming centered on critical thinking and active reflection
- Grow their leadership skills and develop key leadership competencies
- Learn about and study the Adaptive Leadership model to address an issue they would like to make progress on in their home community (Leadership for Change Project)
- Thrive through the development of a community of practice that empowers women
